Pr Koffi Hervé YANGNI-ANGATE

Koffi Herve Yangni-Angate received his fellowship award in General Surgery and was trained in pediatric cardio-vascular surgery at Saint Justine Hospital in Montreal, Canada from 1989-91, where he passed his fellowship in pediatric cardio-vascular in 1991. He worked as Consultant in the Department of Thoracic and Cardio-Vascular Surgery (1992-96) at the Institute of Cardiology, Abidjan(Cote d’Ivoire) and became Professor of Cardio-Vascular and Thoracic Surgery (1996), Co-Founder (1997) and Vice-Dean (1997-2003) of the Bouake University Medical School ,University of Bouake ( Côte d’Ivoire) , and the Founder of the Department of Anatomy ,Bouake University Medical School ( Côte d’Ivoire). Since 1997, he is Chairman of the Department of Thoracic and Cardio-Vascular Surgery (Bouake Teaching Hospital and University of Bouake). From 2005 to 2010, he was the Director of the University College of Korhogo (Côte d’Ivoire) and the pioneer of the transformation of the University College of Korhogo to a complete University. Since 2014, he was nominated Chief- Coordinator of the Project for the creation of the Institute of Cardiology of Bouake (Côte d’Ivoire).
. He is a Founding Father of the World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery, of the African Association of Thoracic and Cardio-Vascular Surgeons, of the African Society of Morphology and of the West African College of Morphologists. Currently, he is a Fellow of the International Society of Surgery (1998), Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (2000), President of the Ivorian Association for Academic and Professional Training, Director of the Center for Continuing Medical Education and Bioethics, and President of the Ivorian Society of Thoracic and Cardio-Vascular Surgeons. He was, President of the West African College of Surgeons (2013-2015), President of the Pan-African Association of Surgeons (2014-2017) .He is the President of the Ivorian Society of Thoracic and Cardio-Vascular Surgeons since 2008, the President of the African Association of Thoracic and Cardio-Vascular Surgeons since2005 and a Fellow of the American College of Health Trustees.
